After hosting Poland Joe in my abode for a couple of days it hit me that I could do this and make myself an honest living at it should - I charge a nominal and feasible-for-most fee.
The price of a Manhattan hotel room for the night is around $200.00 and this does not include meals.........but now I am willing to put up single individuals for a $175.00 donation for the night here in my apartment on the beautiful South Shore of Long Island where you can sleep on my comfortable futon with clean sheets and linen.

 Is Boots still a 'part' of the show? Was he ever a regular?
IMO he's less-talented than Jeff the Drunk and Ralph combined...
Have read a total of one of his lame inane postings at SFn. Don't find him compeling in the least. |

There apparently was an "intervention" for Boots on the show a few years back. They seem to love him over on SFN.

The Boots intervention clip has been up here a couple of times. Don't know if it's still up or not. He keeps trying to reinvent. The beauty is, people don't even have to make something up to have some fun with him. Just go get one of his threads and quote it. 
Boots was in the "Get John's Job Contest" (2004).

I have to admit, Joey came on after I stopped listening to Howard on terrestial. So, my "knowing" him as a character on the show is very limited. But, I did find him very funny on the "Wack Pack Career Counseling", the way he fought with the muscle woman and how he was just wanting to work on the show, and that's all he talked about

When I started listening to Stern late 2003/early 2004, Joey was on as a regular caller a lot. Of course they didn't always tell you when they played really old bits, but my earliest memories were hearing him call from his job as a bus driver for the handicapped. But he's had a lot of different jobs. He's a vetran of Bush Sr.'s Gulf War and is supplimented for war related stress. In his most recent B&B thread, he revealed he was an army cook. He's in the NYC commute area, so access to show related events was not a problem. In 2004, he was a candidate for "Get John's Job." The most memorable part of his "Get John's Job" week was the Eleanor and Eric interview (She was a 9-11 widow, living well from her late husband's death. Live-in BF Eric was a disgraced ex-cop). They spent their interview telling of antics with sex, drugs, and robbery and upset every listener who had dropped a dollar into a 9-11 fund collection bucket.
..And of course, Joey was one of the founding members of SFN and is basically co/assistant admin there.
Those who follow Joey's antics at SFN know his flair for internet drama. We also know from following his photo threads that he likes photography. He has recently become a regular on SFRT. The night he subbed for Mutt, many thought he did a good job.
He's constantly looking ways to reinvent himself. Occasionally he actually hits on something noteworthy. |

I saw this clip being circulated at Sirius Backstage. I downloaded it then realized I had it from a long time ago. But I no longer remember the history of it or if it is really Boot's voice. Joey used to post a lot of phone clips of himself and various other players seeking the show's attention, so there's at least a chance it is really Joey. Anyone know for sure?

don't even get me started on this boots benefit.
as far as I'm concerned he has had 2 good appearances on the show....first when he wiped icy hot on his balls...and the other, working sort of as a reporter during the9/11 show.....other than that, completely worthless leach. |

He, like the rest of the SFN hardcore, are the biggest bunch of asswipes in the Tri-state...Period.
