True, but there have been some alleged shady dealings in Andrea's past. Andrea historically doesn't seem to make good choices. Shortly after the 2004 Las Vegas Stern week, several of the wack-pack were put up in a rental house there. Stern wasn't directly involved, but allowed participants to plug the website some. The entire house was wired for video and the idea was a pay-per-view/subscription peep show from which the wack-packers involved would make money. Zolar, Andrea, HPE, and Beet were among those living in the house. The website didn't make as much money as they planned and in the end, one of the people involved in the promotions end (who happened to be black) allegedly skipped town with the money. There were other allegations about an assault on wack-packers living in the house made. It was a wreck. By then, Stern and the show were (wisely) putting distance between the show and that wack-packer project, so it got little air-time.
As for this past week's bit, Sal either inadvertently or deliberately set himself up for a great whoop on Sal week. If Sal hadn't come up, we could have kept talking about the DLR hoax or Siobhan (5/22), while waiting for the Dixie Chicks.
**MarksFriggin is a daily text summary of the Stern Show. It isn't quite as graphic as actually listening to the show, but isn't censored either. It tries to stay at a "work-safe" level for the most part. The bit we are discussing in this thread is rather tame (aside from discussing racism). But if you go to MarksFriggin to get text discussion from Sal's bit, you will see text discussion of the rest of the show. Adult discussion rating.

Well, Sal has a point about alcohol lowering inhibitions and letting people do things they normally would not do... if this was really a prank on him or a whole production, that's another story. How come nobody is screaming about Riley calling Robin a "house nigger" and Howard a "cheap Jew", saying Howard should "wear a Star of David," or hoping aloud that Iran would bomb Howard's people? Odd.

| During Howard's vacation they replayed the 1/13/06 show. Howard was goofing on anti-abortion people saying that they would be all for it if their daughters were pregnant with a black baby. Artie was doing his hillbilly voice. Of course they were making fun of people, but I don't see how Sal's comment is any different? Gary didn't barge in and go Whoa, Whoa, Whoa... |

I heard on the news that Sal might have to defend himself with human resources again for unsolicited pictures of himself he'd mailed to other female Sirius staff.  What can you say? It's Sal.
On the racial issue, there was a very enlightening discussion between George Flowers and other's present at Tuesday's Wrap-Up show defending allowing racial issues to be presented as they are on the Stern show. Mr. Flowers, feeling like he had to "represent" for his racially diverse marriage, made his point well. Gary and others present defended quite well. If there is clippage available of just the portion of the Tuesday, 8/15 Wrap-Up pertaining to racism, it might be good to have that discussion out here in the "public" view. |

The thing about Sal's behavior while visiting Mutt's home is just too much. This could destroy that girl if it gets out. Do people know Mutt's real name? Is there a chance that some turkeys at her school are Stern fans and have made the connection?? Teenagers can be cruel with internet blogging.
I wonder what her reaction was - or have Mutt and Kimba managed to keep it from her? When I was a teenager, I don't think I could have handled something like that. How much longer can the show keep protecting Sal? Wouldn't it have been better to have squelched this bit and kept the Stern fans at large from hearing about it? |
