|
|
Hi everyone, new here... I was invited by TerryGale from MND... anyway I'm the "podmaster" of "The Right Perspective" a shortwave/Internet talk radio show heard every Friday night 10 pm at http://www.therightperspective.com and over shortwave WWCR 3.215Mhz.
TRP's hosts, Frank from Queens and John of Staten Island, became notorious to listeners of NYC talk radio during the 80's and 90's, calling every show on the dial from Dick Oliver on WOR to Bob Grant, Curtis Sliwa, and Jay Diamond on 77WABC (John still calls in to Mark Levin from time to time). They got so popular that people would call in to the shows and ask the screener if "Frank and John had called in yet."
Anyway TRP has been going on in one form or another for almost 7 years now, and we've been podcasting the show for a little bit shy of one year.
Like I said, this is a live talk radio show, and you can call in and argue them, discuss politcs, etc. And they take things from a very "Right Perspective." They're to right of Michael Savage (who, IMHO, is ripping off Frank from Queens).
So here is the link to the podcast blog:
http://therightperspectivepodcastblog.blogspot.com/
And you can hear the show live every Friday night 10pm at
http://www.therightperspective.com
and over shortwave WWCR 3.215 Mhz.

Welcome, I'll have a look at your status. Get a few of your fans to post here and you can have a sub-forum.
It seems to load very quickly and I'm on dial-up.
Good sound quality.
Re. this | Quote: | | Plus, many of your phonecalls and so much more at 718-761-9996 | What day and time would one need to be listening to be calling in real-time? Where would one have to live to hear the "short-wave?" Are you either of the two hosts?
Is this particular show satirical? The sound quality is excellent, good voices. Have they ever tried to interest any other hosts to interview them (Liddy, Savage?)? Stern would probably play clips for a goof. They're talking about Norah Vincent, have they heard this podcast?

Thanks for the good reviews. But no, I'm not Frank or John.
The show is heard every Friday night, 10pm EST. You can hear it on WWCR shortwave 3.215 Mhz , and you need a shortwave radio reciever to hear it, but you can hear it worldwide.
But you can also hear it live online here through Live365. The show goes for at least two hours (if there are a lot of calls, they go to 3, sometimes more), but only the first hour is heard on shortwave.
The hosts became famous in NYC talk radio for calling every single show on the dial throughout the 80's and 90's - Bob Grant, Curtis Sliwa, Jay Diamond on WABC, Dick Oliver, Alex Micolini and Barry Grey on WWOR, for example (they still call in to some shows like Mark Levin). "Frank from Queens" and "John of Staten Island" would call so much that people would call into the show and ask the screener if "Frank & John had called in yet."
Well, if you do call in, don't mention Michael Savage - Frank (and I do, too) believe that Savage is ripping off Frank's monologues and catch phrases. But a lot of hosts have "borrowed" Frank's material over the years. And Frank isn't very fond of Sean Hannity who he calls "the million dollar haircut with the 2 cent brain," or Bill O'Reilley, who he feels is being "disengenuous." But I think they like Liddy and Ann Coulter, and they do like Mark Levin.
That woud be a riot if someone interviewed the guys, I'm very sure they'd be up for it. And if Stern would play clips, well, that would rock! I myself am a huge Stern fan from when I was a wee lad and heard him on WNBC in the afternoons.
Frank & John are serious about the issues they discuss, but they do try to be funny with them, and like it when callers are funny and they can play off the subjects the callers talk about. And they like to give the callers enough time to talk, not rush them off because of a "hard break," etc. so it is best to call during the 2nd hour. _________________

I listened to the short quote on Savage. What happened to this week-end's podcast of TRP? |

There were some technical difficulties but I just put it up...
Frank and John stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Denmark in its struggle against Mohammedan Imperialism, and urge everyone to buy Danish products to show support for the right to free speech.
Frank uses the ongoing Muslim-Danish row to repudidate Marxism. There never was nor is a class strugge. History itself has nothing to do with class struggle; instead, history is the struggle of nations and races for EEA - Environmental Existance Area. This escelating row is not so much about a couple of cartoons as it is a battle over EEA between the Muslim world and the West.
John notes that Clinton did nothing to tackle the Mohammaden menace, leaving us to deal with it now.
Plus, Bill Clinton calls in... Michael Savage rips of Frank, yet again... Volkstadt and Frieheit on "Hello Africa"... your phone calls at 718-761-9996 and so much more.

Thanks for putting it up. It was a very timely show. I heard your phone call where you'd sent them the URL of that Savage soundboard.
Are you really in Iceland or is that part of the schtick? _________________ "We grow too soon old and too late smart..." quoted by Michael Savage... God Bless America CAN be a sincere prayer... God relieve me of my obsessions to always be right and to SHARE... |

Good show this week NewsGuy! How the weather up there in "Iceland?" It's too cold for me in the States. I can't even imagine Iceland.
I got some "Danish" cookies to have with my hot cocoa. |

Actually it's been quite warm up here this winter, around 3-5 Celcius... only snowed about 3 times so far. Gotta love that global warming _________________
