Looking at some of the excerpts has made me even more curious. One section that fascinated me was the author's example of the different circumstances of sperm from an egg. Millions of sperm all fighting to be at the top of the hierarchy and be the ONE who gets to merge with the egg. Contrast this with the ONE protected and highly valuable egg that gets dropped down and readied for possible fertilization. Just that image was interesting to me and the obvious connections in the ways men and women live and are valued or devalued.

if he is saying that the main competition is between men....
and that women aren't "oppressing" men in regards to accress to sex/money/status.....
well, I've known that for a long time.
as someone who has always wroked I have always felt 'left out' of the main stream. I work along side it as best I can but there is no way to ever be part of the 'boys club' that exists. And there's lots of men that can't crack that same boys club. It's the way it is.
