Stern on Hannity Radio, Tuesday 3/14/06

Stern was on Hannity Radio, Tuesday 3/14/06... Free Republic posters weighed in big time on what they think of it. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1596164/posts

Probably not much different than what was said on Hannity's TV show...

Sean asked terrific questions and kept Stern focused on where he wanted the interview to go. He knew enough not to get sucked into a discussion of his own personal life. Doing so would have turned this interview into an infomercial for Stern and Sirius. Hannity to his credit didn't let that happen.

Whether you like either of these guys or not, this is an interview anyone with an interest in radio should listen to. There's plenty of "inside baseball", plenty of personality from both and some very entertaining give and take. This is also a primer on how to both interview and be interviewed. If I were giving a course on how to do either, I would use this as an example.

I saw that, but had missed Hannity's show - so was waiting to hear soundbytes. I understand Hannity spent 40 minutes before Howard came on justifying why Howard should be on the radio and what the threat of censorship meant to him. I'd heard Hannity say much of this before. Once Howard came on, their segment lasted just over an hour.

Howard did ok. Hannity let him talk about the situation with CBS, but got in questions about Howard's old radio feuds (O&A, Imus) and some personal questions. He indicated he would possibly come on the Stern show, but Stern's ideas about getting him in the tickle chair was "sick" (of course Stern was kidding).

Stern did ok there - and on Letterman, too - despite what any CBS or Free Republic critics might say. Guess Hannity is entitled to his 40 minute pre-appearance appeasement so his conservative fans would consider not turning off the radio. Apparently some did, some didn't.

Hmm.. Good the lawsuit is settled. Looking forward to the re-airing (uncensored) of the older material. Stern and Hannity made some good radio and TV. Other than that, "no comment."

Letterman is a good friend to the Stern show. He doesn't deem to mind "Evil Dave's" pranks.
