SFN's Ronnie's Block Party THREAD

That's right folks... So far as we know now, the main fight may have been between SFN VIP's who felt left out vs SFN VIP's who got to go. In all fairness to Shuli, he said he was covering the party for the news. Had someone higher up on the news totem pole wanted to go, Shuli might have been bumped.

Shuli kept his mouth shut as far as anything really juicy for the story, since it has to be "fresh" on the air Monday - but he did come on SFN to post a few photos. But, alas, he didn't know how to make .jpeg files. The bitmap files he attached were difficult for some SFNers to get and the complaining started. Joey Boots became particularly upset, as he was jealous that Shuli got to go - albeit as a newsman. Things got heated. Below are the juiciest of the exchanges between Boots and Shuli. I stopped the screenshots at the last page Shuli was on. Boots lasted another 38 minutes and held court with the fans who were watching him on the board and on webcam... Was Joey really that upset about the party and the pictures or is he anxiously bucking to meet the new shrink? He may become jealous of Rev. Bob next. Bob's appointment with the new "shtrink" is this coming Thursday. Will it turn into a threesome? Bob, Boots, and Shuli???

SFNers who could, were getting the Ronnie block party bitmaps and converting them to .jpg. Some may make their way here.. but by a different poster.

Thanks for using thumbnails provided by ImageVenue. SFN's access to Photobucket/TinyPic has been restored. Some had feared SFN had been banned from using/seeing stuff hosted there because of size abuse. That may not have been the case, but some forums "push the envelope" with over-sized photos. Which is fine if you're paying for the site where the pictures are stored - but not fine for those on "free" photo hosters.

I just got back and haven't looked for updates on the Joey/Shuli melt-down at SFN. If the forum conversation above had been soundbytes, it would have been gold. Guests can still respond here for the time being, but keep it civil. Thanks.

Joey started a new thread. Will we be hearing about it on the radio all week long? I predict at least 4x (show, wrap-up, news, and SFRT). Rev. Bob took Joey's side.. How will that affect he and Shuli and their men's show?? Stay tuned for this week's soap opera, on SIRIUS 100-101.

Some of the stuff about the block party has come up this morning. Shuli got chewed out for posting the pictures. No more "leaks" to Stern fans. Poor Shuli...

Edit note: Yeah, I meant Shuli. Thanks for spotting that. Howard was getting onto Shuli for posting the pictures; then goofing on Sal for his behavior. I got confused.

Give Shuli some credit. I looked at the thread screenshots above. It would seem that Shuli did try to stay calm and professional during his discussion with Joey.

Ahhhh, radio.. especially the H100-101, it would seem. Not many jobs where you can get by with mixing it up with folks on an online forum, professional or not. Sounds dramatic...

Did you mean to say "Shuli got chewed out.?" Why would Sal get chewed out for pictures Shuli posted? Of course Sal might have been teased for that one with Scott. What is it with Sal and men? He claims he's not "gay."

I hope all this stuff with Joey, Rev. Bob, and Shuli doesn't mess up Bob and Shuli's run with the Miserable Men show.

Edit note for the 1st 3 posts: "Fight" was edited from the "guest" poster's name and the thread title. It takes 2 to fight. Shuli tried to defend statements he was asked to defend, but bent over backward to avoid "fighting." The feud seems largely in Joey's mind. Joey is being enabled by well-meaning fans and those afraid to cross him by being critical of him at SFN.

Thanks for linking to here, Doc. For the same reason cited above, "feud" is probably also a misnomer. I'm not sure what to call a one-sided dispute? A gripe?

I call it "Joey over-the-top" - and the show has apparently decided not to play into it. Shuli maintained a level of professionalism throughout the first thread and to my knowlege has not participated in the 2nd. This seems to be a "Joey melt-down."

Shuli was asked not to leak pictures to SFN anymore. This is the fans loss (delay). The download sites will get the HSOD and eventually screenshots will appear. It will just be later rather than sooner.

I hope this doesn't cause a rift with Miserable Men. If there were no more discussion by the show, it might be a good thing.

We've been sensing a "distubance in the force" on the H100-101 signal. Perhaps this is part of it. Earth creatures (humans) like to think they are more complex than they are sometimes.

Shuli hasn't posted at SFN since Sat. night. Howard told him not to post anymore Stern related event pictures at SFN. Who loses out here? The fans. Thanks to the people from SFN who were willing to speak up for Shuli in Boots thread.

There were more comments from Shuli than this, but it trailed off into Shuli holding court for his SFN supporters. SpringsternFan just missed him heading out the door (or maybe not). Shuli's making a good comeback in the "Shuli is too big for me now" thread around p.34. With SFN heavyweights NWSternGirl and Shamela weighing in on p.46, is Joey's mental intervention far away now? I liked Shuli's line in the Ronnie thread about the Sirius check. I also liked the line where he laughed and told one of the women (paraphrased) to "sit down and be quiet.. the men are talking..."

Did anyone see the SFN thread where Joey's getting off on his cat swatting at his stream while he pees?!?! He was kind enough to provide a picture, but it will have to stay at SFN for now.

Maybe one of Joey's friends will send him a contraption that's advertised in some magazines to teach a cat to use the toilet.

Some of this got discussed on-air today at around 8:30 am EDT. Howard had both Joey and Shuli on the phone and tried to mediate (with Robin's help). Is Shuli really saying things to Joey or is Joey just playing his own negative thoughts to himself in a "loop?"

The above is true... It would be good if there was information posted somewhere about what the minimum/maximum rotation for SFRT is, estimated weekly time commitment to do the show (excluding travel time - which would differ per commuter), and who to write to be considered - especially if you weren't on SFN a lot. Also what info. does Mutt/Tim S. need to consider someone.

So I also got on the bumper boats and shuli kept feeding this machine outside the tank dollars to use this super soaker gun to squirt the shit out of me as i rode around in the pool........Jason got all this and more on video tape and we hope that HOWARD TV will be able to use it......towards the end of the day I wanted to get a souvernir of our trip to coney island today so I talked shuli in to getting a couple of shirts made up and here's a pic of it......two pals hanging out.

Apparently, Joey and Shuli posed for a T-shirt photo... Someone uploaded a picture... Joey has video, but he's going to offer it to Howard first.
