Planned obsolescense at work? If you have windows and your motherboard breaks, just get a new computer - because you may have to re-buy windows when you replace the motherboard if MS has it's way.
I should learn more about linux. Motherboard manufacturers and people selling build-your-own-computers should hope for linux's survival.
