James Brown is dead at 73http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Music/12/25/james.brown.obit.ap/
I wonder how many DJs and talk hosts will give it a mention Monday or Tuesday. I wonder how many DJ's and talk hosts will actually be live Christmas.
Well, we know that Howard Stern's first or second day back will include some James Brown replays - maybe even a "formal" James Brown tribute hour. But Stern is on vacation for another week, so it will have to wait.
As a teenager, long before 9-11, my favorite James Brown song was "War." I was a bit more of a pacifist back then. The war of the day was Vietnam and falling in popularity. What was your favorite James Brown song? I wonder how many DJ's and talk hosts will actually be live Christmas.

"Hardest Workin' Man In Showbiz"... RIP, Mr Brown, RIP.
He was always such a good interview on Howard, no matter his latest transgression. I'll never forget his appearance after his multi-state hi-speed police pursuit, where he just layed it all out there. Dude has a sense of humor!
He was a major part of my life's soundtrack. (I Break Out In A)Cold Sweat was a superb song, and I kinda like Living In America.
Respectfully, I'm amazed he made it that far, and how many people ya think lost/won having him in their "Dead-pools"?
