Howard's back!! The starting segment with Artie was great! Artie gambling and spending time with Jon Hein, Artie losing weight for his upcoming Entourage appearance, what Artie ate at the baseball games. Artie will be with on Entourage with Leslie Bibb, a hot chick who was in Private Parts. Artie denies gettinbg laid.
Artie's appearance in Atlantic City with Dice was during the casino shut-down and there was no gambling. Artie is still waiting for his 5k (for 20 min. work) handout from Dice. The show debated if it was a fair split. He thinks Dice probably got 25k. Artie did better at his appearance in Pittsburgh. Screech didn't show - apparently Screech had something he couldn't get out of..
Apparently the staff with less vacation time were working on new parodies. There were several new ones. The new Riley and Artie bits are great. There was a new Crazy Alice song too. |

Anybody see a new fight with Dice Clay and the show coming??
Robin talking about the "Turkish toilets" she encountered in some parts of Italy. Richard apparently had some experience with these and jumped right in. _________________ Let no MAN or BEAST be homeless... |

Richard talked about his trip to see his folks. Howard talked about playing chess, reading, and Artie reads!!. Who knew??
Howard talked about the guy who blew himself and his townhouse up in Manhatten. I didn't realize he died Sunday.
Joey Boots is looking for a job on the "tapes team." Howard seems to be leaving that possibility open. |

Sal will never be able to set foot in Point Pleasant, NJ again. They'll never let him live this stuff down. _________________ Always remember, "Hi, I'm Sal Governale..." |

A little Sal goes a long way... Sal on the show. Sal in the news. Sal might be on Miserable Men tonight. Sal put his kids on the Sybian during their tour of SIRIUS and hopes his wife won't find out!?! I hope Sal tells them it's a "mechanical bull" vs. "sybian." I can see Sal's kids trying to enlighten their playmates. Can some new Sal apology bits be far behind?
Good to see Howard giving Miserable Men a decent plug. |

Howard gave Riley a plug too... Riley will be back Tuesday night. The new Riley bits were nice.

*Tuesday was a fairly explicit show. Going to MarksFriggin will expose you to text description of all of that day's show.
Btw, Wild Oats, admin can't tell when someone was last here in all cases. I'm not sure why... It might be whether they post. It's been awhile since Sal's sister was on. |

What's up with the Dice/Artie 'feud' over unpaid appearance money? Is it a bit?
Listening to Dice's 'trial' show posted here a few weeks back, it seemed that Artie was very uncomfortable in Dice's presence, and I sensed pity... |

Listening to Dice's 'trial' show a few weeks back, it seemed that Artie was very uncomfortable in Dice's presence, and I sensed pity... | It was some great radio. Check out the clips behind the hall in the Summer Clips thead. A lot of Stern fans are now beginning to believe it was a bit, but it was fun to listen to and talk about for a day or two. Also.. SFRT is behind the wall too...
TG mentioned the MarksFriggin text summary of the Artie/Dice thing above.. if you don't want to download clippage.
I'm listening to a 'replay' of the Wrap-Up Show and the guys are covering this. I'll PM you a link. It's 1.5 hrs. for the whole wrap-up. Howard left early Thursday. |

Deja vu... http://www.koam.com/yir/dice.html
| Quote: | Dateline: March 12, 1996 - NYC.
The Diceman Dices Jackie!
After another noticeable absence, this time for over a year, Shock Comic, Andrew Dice Clay, has come back into the Stern show fold. "The Diceman is back. He was avoiding me but he came back," Howard said. "Is this Andrew Clay or Andrew "Dice" Clay," he added sarcastically. "It's Andrew Dice Clay. Don't play Howard, you know me," Dice snapped back. It seems Dice's troubles started when he first became involved with CBS and his short-lived comedy, "Bless This House." In order to get the CBS deal, he dropped his "Dice" persona and distanced himself from things like Howard's show. As to what happened with that show, Dice explained that CBS promised to put the "edge" back in his character, but they never followed through. This, Dice says, was a contributing factor to the show's cancellation.
Being the King Of All Instigators, Howard said to Dice, "I heard you were mad at Jackie The Joke Man." "I'm a little mad. He's better as a puppet," Dice told Howard. He then went on to explain that he was pissed at Jackie over a comment he made to Howard one day on the air about Dice running back to Howard now that his TV show's been canceled. "What did I ever do to him?" Dice wondered aloud. "I don't run to Howard for nothing, Jackie. You're his pity case, not me. The day Howard decides to quit radio is the day you're out of business, so shut your mouth!," Dice ranted. Not be the quiet type in a situation like this, Jackie tossed out one-liners which made Dice angrier and angrier. "You want to come up against the best comic ever? You want to open your mouth on this radio. I'll bury you. Don't ever come up against me, I am the best...," Dice raved. To which Jackie replied in frustration, "Oh eat me!"
The original purpose of the call was to plug Dice's up-coming HBO special entitled, "Assume The Position" and to offer tickets to last night's (3/12) taping. But by this time, Dice was yelling and screaming at Jackie. He even promised to rag on him on stage during the taping of the special. "You want the fans to start calling you Jackie the Jerk Off? I can make that happen...," Dice claimed. Not taking him too seriously, Jackie started breaking Dice's balls again about his weight and thinning hair. This infuriated him immensely. "...Go ahead. Go have a drink, maybe it will clear your mind. Go ahead, smoke your pot. Dope addict. Drunk. That's what I think. That's my opinion of you... Tonight you pay, tonight you get disciplined. Assume the position. Spread 'em, spread 'em... I'm the King. I'm the King!," Dice vented as he hung up.
Dice never did rag on Jackie during that special which aired on HBO in May. |
